Rebecca delivers bespoke design through a variety of service offerings. The design process begins with a personalized phone call known as discovery. It is the opportunity to discuss, analyze, and understand the scope and scale of each project. She places a strong emphasis on a demonstrated process, a collective vision, an integral exchange of communication, and an essential mutual trust as the foundation for excellence in design. In an effort to protect the integrity of client work, it is her expressed intent not to duplicate custom design concepts.

What is design excellence?
Design is a beautifully calculated formula of exploring functionality, applying practicality, and sprinkling in personality.
In addition to beautiful interiors, designers are problem solvers and offer solution-based approaches to their work. Their keen ability to analyze, visualize and stylize a space, elevate them as excellent resources in analyzing budgets, preventing mistakes, and collaborating with industry professionals. In working with my clients, I draw on both my education and experience to help them understand the process and to assist me in bringing the project through to fruition.
I specialize in the soft goods industry where I have expertise in fabrics and textiles and their suitability for application. Additionally, I offer full service custom interiors as well as a host of a la carte services to detail the home. A sampling of services may include, paint or wall paper selection, entertaining ideas, tablescape design, fashion consultations, floral arrangement, custom art, furniture, faux finishes, and specialty accessories. A designer is contacted for a number of reasons, and creating beauty is only one of them. Utilizng the services of a designer should be thought of as an investment. As a visionary, a designer has the ability to visualize what a client cannot see.
Through the elements of design, details explored wih a client, and the budget and resources available, a design concept is developed. Through the various phases of design, from the initial phone call through the discovery and onto the actual on site analysis, the keen and critical eye of a designer will detail each step of the way. Working together we will analyze the space, discuss budgets, address issues, identify concerns, and we will explore the unique opportunity to tranform a basic house into your home.

Where shall we meet?
Design excellence is timeless; it should travel with you. I offer Connecticut based interior design services however, I serve clients as they adjust and transition through life. It has yielded a nationwide client base.
As a former custom interior retail designer, I have been privileged to serve over 300 Connecticut clients. Fourteen years ago I embarked on my own design journey under the auspices of Inspired Interiors, LLC. In 2020, I relaunched as Rebecca Charamut Cass, A Design Consultancy.
I have sourced industry professionals from around New England who are experts in their field. Integral to the success of any design project is to have trusted and valued relationships with collaboraters, trade professionals, artisans and fabricators. I maintain trade affiliations from around the world. I am affiliated with the Hartford, Boston, New York and North Carolina Showrooms.

Why use a designer?
You have a story to tell. Through the exploration of a client’s life journey a unique design concept emerges and a design story unfolds.
I aspire to create a home that is personal and tailored to the needs of the ones who live there. The scale and scope of work will be directed by the client, and can be as diversified as a single project such as window treatments or the installation of a hard wood floor, to larger scale renovations such as a master bath or kitchen renovation. I have worked with custom home builders to assist them in creating the home of your dreams.
The majority of my work is referral based, but, I welcome new clients who understand my design philosophy. Through the exploration of a client’s life journey a design concept emerges. Together with a vision, a demonstrated process and that unique client journey, a design story unfolds.

This trusted relationship with a client is based on a vision, a mutual understanding of the design process and an understanding of what custom truly means. No two designs will ever be alike.
The design process is a collabaorative effort. It begins with a discovery call; a conversation of exploration. A good designer must listen attentively to her clients, provide genuine guidance and assistance in understanding the entire design process. Essential in the process is to establish goals, determine timelines, prepare a budget, realize expectations, and insure a timely, accurate delivery.
From inception through to delivery, I assume responsibility for bringing the entire concept to fruition. Custom design can be simplistic or complicated, and in order to accommodate clients needs, a series of processes will detail the direction of the design journey. This trusted relationship with a client is based on a vision, a mutual understanding of the design process and an understanding of what custom design truly means. I take great pride in never repeating custom work and therefore no two designs will ever be alike.
